MSI Co., Ltd. - About Environmental Business

We aim to achieve SDG Goal 7 "Affordable and Clean Energy for All" in the Reiwa era!

Our company specializes in the production of control panels and cable assemblies. Therefore, we have a strong interest in energy consumption. In August 2002, our electricity bill was 160,000 yen. By July 2012, we achieved a net electricity cost of zero. As of November 2019, our balance with Tokyo Electric Power has always been positive. The reasons for this include the expansion of our solar power generation facilities since 2003, the replacement of all internal lighting with DC LED lights, and the replacement of high power-consuming equipment with energy-efficient models. Currently, our monthly income from selling electricity averages over 400,000 yen. We are using this income to engage in energy creation development research. 【Main Equipment】 ■ mSe Solar House ■ mSe Solar Sharing ■ UV-LED Train ■ mSe Solar Drone Base ■ Solar Security Light with Built-in Camera ■ Solar Trash Collection Buoy *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Wood chip gasification power generation system by URBAS.

A compact biomass CHP with overwhelming reliability in Austria.

It is known that the power generation efficiency of gasification power generation equipment is high, but many reports have indicated issues with gas engine troubles caused by tar, resulting in a very low operational rate. A low operational rate leads to reduced power transmission and also incurs maintenance costs for the engines, making it economically unfeasible. URBAS's combined heat and power equipment has been operating smoothly in all installations delivered so far, achieving a high operational rate. This is due to the adoption of a downdraft gasifier and an excellent gas cleaning system, which allows for the production of clean wood gas that contains almost no tar, resulting in very few engine troubles and enabling continuous operation. The power output is 150-250 kW, and the thermal output is approximately 300-500 kW, with the equipment being packaged and designed to be very compact. The fuel used is wood chips.

Achieving reduced electricity costs and low carbon emissions for overseas factories with rooftop solar power systems!

In Thailand, there is a possibility to reduce initial investment costs by utilizing the benefits of the BOI (Board of Investment). It is recommended to consider this early.

The BOI benefits refer to the incentives provided by the Thailand Board of Investment for projects that contribute to "alternative energy use," such as the installation of solar panels. These benefits include a three-year exemption from corporate income tax, capped at 50% of the investment amount. *The application deadline is by the end of 2022, so early consideration is necessary. (As of July 2021) By maximizing the use of these BOI benefits, it is possible to reduce the investment amount by 50%. <Advantages of Rooftop Solar> 1. Efficient use of roof and rooftop space, reducing electricity costs. 2. Contribution to combating global warming. 3. Can be used as an emergency power source during outages caused by disasters, serving as a BCP measure. 4. The insulation effect of the panels increases air conditioning efficiency, saving on electricity costs. It accommodates both self-investment and PPA models. ★ What is self-investment? What is the PPA model? Please refer to the "Basic Information" below. Our company has extensive experience with rooftop solar installations utilizing BOI in Thailand. Please feel free to contact us. We will conduct a simulation based on your company's implementation and provide you with better proposals.

[PPA Solar Power Generation Introduction Case] Experience results beyond simulation!

Miyama Seiko Co., Ltd. successfully reduced 14.6t-CO2/kWh by using 30,000 kWh of clean electricity over a period of about two months.

We would like to introduce a case study of Miyama Seiko Co., Ltd. implementing Aozora Electric's PPA solar power generation. Since 2007, we have adopted Eco Action 21 and have made environmental conservation a key issue in our business activities. We aim to pass on the rich natural environment of this region of Nagano, Shinshu, to the next generation, with all employees working towards development that considers the global environment and the local community. However, we felt that new initiatives were necessary for CO2 reduction. At that time, we received a proposal from Aozora Electric, and since we were assured that our roof was suitable for power generation, we decided to implement it, realizing that we could also achieve CO2 reduction. [Case Study] - Implementation Date: June 2020 - Location: Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture *For more details about the case study, please visit our company website. [Case Study of Self-Consumption PPA] Reduced Electricity Costs! No Generation Loss with Monitoring

Bandai Bookstore Nagano has implemented a case of Aozora Power PPA solar power generation, which is generating more electricity than expected and helping to reduce electricity costs.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of Aozora Electric's PPA solar power generation at Bandai Shoten Nagano Store. The Nagano Store operates year-round without holidays, and the annual electricity costs for lighting and air conditioning were very high. Since the store had already introduced LED lighting, they decided to implement Aozora Electric as another initiative to reduce electricity costs. The ability of solar power generation to reduce CO2 emissions and its consideration for the global environment were also key factors in their decision. [Case Study] ■Implementation Date: February 2019 ■Location: Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture *For more details about the case study, please visit our company website. Self-investment: Case studies on the introduction of solar power generation - Addressing disaster prevention and CO2 reduction.

Iiyama Seiki Co., Ltd.'s headquarters factory has generated 100,427 kWh of electricity and reduced CO2 emissions by 43 t-CO2/kWh in just 10 months of operation.

We would like to introduce a case where Iiyama Seiki Co., Ltd. has implemented a self-investment type solar power generation system at their headquarters factory. The company installed the solar power generation system as a self-investment initiative to prepare for the increasing natural disasters year by year and to contribute to the fundamental measures against abnormal weather by reducing CO2 emissions. They have introduced a measurement system and are conducting daily monitoring. So far, the results have exceeded simulations, with 100,427 kWh of power generated and a reduction of 43 tons of CO2 emissions per kWh achieved in just 10 months of operation. [Case Study] - Installation Date: January 2021 - Installation Location: Nakano City, Nagano Prefecture *For more detailed information about the case, please visit our company website. [Case Study] Hanonomi Co., Ltd.

Introduction of a case where self-invested solar power generation was implemented and successfully reduced 15kW during the summer.

We spoke with Hanonomi Co., Ltd. about the purpose and effects of introducing a self-investment type solar power generation system. As the business expanded, they were considering the introduction of a self-consumption solar power generation system as a measure against the increase in electricity usage and demand due to the installation of large refrigerators. As a result of the introduction, the summer demand peak has decreased by 15 kW, and it seems that they are effectively utilizing energy even on days off without waste. If this trend continues, it is expected to lead to a reduction in electricity costs of about 900,000 yen per year. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■ Challenges - Measures against the increase in electricity usage and demand ■ Results - Summer demand peak decreased by 15 kW - Reduction of CO2 emissions by 8.6t-CO2/kWh in 5 months of operation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
